The 1940’s is a quintessential time of glamour, a period commemorated fabulously as Hollywood’s Golden Age. And from the striking matte red lips and blush-less face to the stylized hair held back with delicate tortoiseshell combs, the Fall runways paid homage to the era. Both Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton used the time period as inspiration, pairing the dramatic beauty with pencil skirts and ultra-feminine collared tops. And the result is decidedly modern.
